L.E.O.
Music-making is a social art. Only in collective free improvisation is
the social side of art integrated with the conceptual. The structure
becomes the content: dialogue as interaction, the end as well as
the means; a generative response that demands and developes new motifs to express
new meanings; a constant process of re-definition;an ever-present ear to the
needs of the moment.

This group was originally assembled for the May 2001 V:NM Festival Graz/Austria.
The following year we were invited to play at the Konfrontationen
2002 in Nickelsdorf.
In December 2002 we organized two evenings of live concerts that were recorded.
The finished CD was presented in a concert, November, 2003 at echoraum, Vienna,
Austria.
The players:
Cordula Boesze (fl) studied flute in Vienna, founded the
»böszes salonorchester« for the promotion of
contemporary »Salonmusik« and loves to write
»bösze« letters to the editor.
Günther Albrecht (wind-controlled synths) besides solo, duo and ensemble performances with
improvised electronics also generates music for compositions, installations and videos.
Katharina
Klement (extended piano) works in the fields of improvised and notated,
instrumental and electronc music; concerts, several CDs; lives in Vienna.
Paul Skrepek, Jr. (dr) plays in groups including Ton.Art, Löschel/Skrepek/Zrost,
Max Nagl Trio, Ossi Aichinger Trio, Kollegium Kalksburg, QUINTAFONE and lots of others;
he surely is one of Viennas best-loved drummers.
Seppo Gründler (extended guitar, electronics) lives as musician and composer
in Graz. He works at the Kunstuniversität Graz, the Donauuniversität
Krems and the Technikum Joanneum. Current projects include a long-term duo with Josef Klammer, projects
with Elisabeth Schimana, Peter Herbert, Burkhard Stangl... Music for theatre,
film, CD-ROM.

Uli Fussenegger (G3) already was a classically trained bass-player and founding
member of the Klangforum Wien when he got into improvised and electronic music;
aside a lot of other projects he plays a duo with Werner Dafeldecker, his
partner in the Vienna record label Durian.
